Manda Morris

Manda Morris

Manda, owner of Journey Riders, works with each rider individually and breaks down riding concepts into small chunks helping the riders understand what to do, how to do it, and why. Riders note a huge increase in concentration, body awareness, and core muscle strength, create incredible improvements both in the rider's seat, and in the horses' response to the rider's body. These can be obtained in a short time, defying traditional expectations. Learning then becomes satisfying, exciting, and fun. Riders improve overall stability in the saddle, learn to influence the horse in a positive manner, and communicate more effectively with the horse. Manda is an endurance rider, mother of two riding daughters, and a special-ed teacher.

Natalie Lord, DVM

Dr Natalie Lord is a veterinarian at Belton Vet Clinic in Belton TX. She is a mixed animal practitioner, but her passion has always been horses. Dr Lord has a keen interest in all things veterinary medicine, but in particular she loves equine medicine and biomechanics. What she loves about being an AERC vet and TERA member, is going to endurance rides, getting her lameness fix by watching all the horses move, tending to these awesome animals, and being in absolute awe of equine and human athletes in the sport of endurance. In her spare time, Natalie trains her Azteca mare in dressage and working equitation.

Todd Hezeau

Todd Hezeau

Todd Hezeau, owner of Barefoof Equines was introduced to hoof care back in 2002 after having problems with a provider, which led him to investigate a different way. He came across the website of a woman named Marjorie Smith and started down the road that changed the way he saw horses. He attended clinics by Pete Ramey, Jamie Jackson, Ida Hammer among others, and became a lifelong learner on hoofcare. He never expected the outcome to become a business, but enjoys helping owners with their horses, especially with specific pathological issues. He has added equine body work, and is now certified in Kinesiology taping, Equine Sports massage therapy and acupressure. Todd enjoys the sport of endurance and prefers the longer distances of 75 to 100 miles. He's also an avid artist and you can view some of his work at this site.
